Kids summer MMA and weapons camp

sensei on May 31, 2011 02:02 pm

Hey everyone,
Been talking to a lot of parents and fellow instructors who suggested that I should offer a summer camp. So, I've been highly considering this. To all my parents, I am debating on doing this depending on how many of you can commit. I am thinking of doing 3 camps. One from July 11th thru the 15th, second one from July 25th thru the 29th and the last one from Aug 8th thru the 12th. Maybe doing it from 930am to 330pm. I am already planning the activities ranging from Kung Fu day (taught by a shaolin fighting monk), Boxing and Muay Thai boxing day, wrestling, to Japanese fencing. Please let me know who would be interested. I should have a poll sign up sheet this week. The rates should range from $350-450 a week with discounts for existing students and multiple student discount. Also, will need some student volunteers. Volunteers will receive discounts on their training or gear. Call or email me and get more info!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 1/1/11

Sensei on Jan 02, 2011 12:26 am

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE! I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and dedication to the dojo! 2010 was a tough year for myself and a lot of people. The economy was tough but we were tougher! We are all fighters and we always prevail through hardship! This year we are making lots of positive changes at the dojo. We are going to be updating the site in a few weeks and a new schedule will be active as of Feb.

Please note that we are still not going to be in full schedule for the 1st week of Jan. We are going to be going through renovations the whole month of Jan. We are doing a New Years dojo clean up Tues thru Thurs and will be conducting a garage inventory clearance outside the dojo at the end of the month. All active students and friends are encouraged to join the clean up! Please call, email or text me for more info. This will be a great time to purchase a lot of your martial arts equipment almost half off!

To all private students and private personal training clients, we are still going to be training a select number of people depending on our schedule. Please keep in touch with us and we'll do our best to accommodate you during our renovations. Also, to all gym members, we are currently canceling all public gym memberships as of 2011. The gym side of the dojo is starting to get too crowded and we need to prioritize our personal trainers and their clients.

Happy New Years everyone! I look forward to training with everyone and joining you guys in your new years resolutions!

Injury

Sensei on Aug 11, 2009 01:58 am

I tore my LCL last week grappling. And no. It wasn't from an extravagant fancy leg lock move. I just sat back and it popped 2 times. Unfortunately, this is my 3rd injury on the same leg. The right leg. Fortunately, I do not need surgery. Maybe a nose job? Please have patience with me and thanks for everyones support and hard work! Now let me see if I can get a disabled placard and get some sweet parking spots!
